The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA might be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it is alarmed about the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the SRD lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The company issue established for intervention activities a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
